I have finally mastered the best Fried Chicken!

crispy fried chicken, quick, easy, fried chicken recipe

Want to make crispy and juicy fried chicken? Let me show you how!

Today I am sharing my family's secret recipe for Fried Chicken! This chicken is so crispy and so juicy, you are going to want to eat the whole pan! There are never any leftovers when I make this recipe.

This is our annual New Years Eve Dinner recipe.

I also like to make smaller sized portions for chicken biscuits. Yum!

Here is your shopping list:

  • Chicken, I prefer tenderloins or boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Pickle Juice
  • 1 cup Flour (more or less depending on how many you are making)
  • 1 TBS Cajun Seasoning (adjust for your taste)
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Cold Water
  • Oil, for frying

Pour pickle juice in a bowl or plastic baggie and add chicken. Soak for at least 20 minutes.

Mix flour, cajun seasoning, salt and pepper together in a bowl or dish.

In another bowl mix cold water and egg.

Add oil to frying pan and heat on medium high heat.

Now you are going to take a piece of chicken from the pickle juice and dip into the flour mixture until lightly coated.

Then dip into the egg mixture.

Now dip back into the flour mixture until fully coated.

Place coated chicken piece in hot oil pan and fry on each side until golden brown. About 7 minutes on each side depending on size of chicken pieces. Internal temp should be at least 165°F.

After cooked, place on a wire rack or paper towels to drain excess oil.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. This recipe pairs perfectly with our oven fries.

This recipe is not only perfect for making fried chicken, but you can also make chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, or chicken biscuits just by adjusting the size and thickness of your chicken.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!
